Welcome to Laurel Ridge Rods, Your online resource for custom rod building supplies and complete fly, spin, centerpin casting and saltwater rods right here in Western PA.

Here at Laurel Ridge Rods my goal is to provide customers with rods based on their specifications and fishing style, and provide a ready-to-ship stock of blanks and materials for the serious rod builder and innovative fly maker.

I didn't begin building rods for bragging rights, but more for the result of a satisfied customer that is happy with their investment. Custom rods are sometimes associated with outrageous price tags and hourly labor rates, but that is not how I charge. I believe that custom rods should be affordable and tailored to everyones budget, and I will consult with you to fit your needs. To me building rods is a pleasure and an art form, and I like my work to reflect on the customers traits.

It is my practice to consult with you about what you will be using the rod for, species targeted, casting style and flies/lures expected to be fished on it before I start building. This ensures a quality result in both craftsmanship and owner satisfaction.

Although I will build on any blank requested by the customer, I am a firm believer that the fine people at Batson Enterprises make some of the most extensive and highest quality blanks and components on the market today.
