Lathe Process

The lathe is one of the most important pieces of machinery in custom rod building. It allows for the rod maker to customize handle shapes, styles, materials and length while keeping a rod truly unique. Reel Seat inserts are also a way to customize your rod to set it apart from the others. Personally, the lathe is my favorite part of the rod building process.
